Friday, 26 February 2010

Today in Brian's class we done an Andy Warhol article. The purpose of doing this article was to show us how to create and put our own individual artical for a college magazine. We used a software scribus, which is a desk top publishing package.
We set up a document and we imported text and images to produce a page ready for printing.

We learned how to set up texts and columns,we ran text around pictures formatted text, ETC.
I now now feel that I'm ready to do my own artical using the techniques.

Pictures of my finished work

I Produced three figures, trees and a finishing line. I made two tree's out of zinc wire and plasticine.I used the tree's for the set i sketched the tree's to get a rough idea of what i wanted them to look like before i made them. I also used some tools i.e plasticine knife and rolling pin I also made a start and Finish line from zinc Wire , Plasticine and a small piece of Foamboard for the Start and Finish sign, i stuck material on each side of the foamboard so i was able to write start and finish and to give the effect of it being some form of a flag. The way I used these materials was to wrap orange coloured plasticine around the zinc wire to make the shape of a post. The colours of plasticine I used for this was orange and green i attached the sign by making two slots on each post to place the sign into them to stabilize my figure.

Report

Hello
We are about to finish our show racism the red card animation.

Computer animation vs Traditional animation

Computer animation requires more steps:

. Modeling the character - Is a Skeleton that you can put  skin over and put clothes and make it look real
. Texture - You build it up with the clothes, skin and hair
. Light and Shading - The computer sets the light source and you can move it to different angles
. Rigging the bones of the character - It teaches the computer how the skeleton moves realistically and believable
. composing, combining the elements - Bringing everything together and telling you how it moves
. Layout and animation, such as camera moves - Camera moving with the computer cause It's 3D and testing all of the      different angles .

Traditional animation is not like that it requires backgrounds,Each frame is drawn, photographted and then shot.

.Modeling the character - Draw figures and skin, and clothes
. Texture - You buid it up with drawing, skin, clothes and hair
. Lighting and Shading - You have to use a lamp and take photo's as you go
. Rigging the bones of the character - you have to draw the figure in different places seperately
. composing, combining the elements - Bring everything together showing you how it moves
. Layout and animation, such as camera moves - You have to hold the camera by hand or put it on the camera stand and  then move the camera angles.
